We usually grow at least three varieties of bell pepper; Chocolate was a favorite of 2025. The majority of the space are dedicated to added some spice to our lives. We will be returning with the same 5 varieties of jalapenos (Craig’s Giant, Lemon Spice, Pumpkin Spice, Orange Spice, and Brown) that we grew well. We harvested over 30 pounds in 2025. The colors make for more beautiful canned peppers as well as brighten our spice mixes when we dry them....

The Perfect Tomato...

Our farm started as exclusively offering heirloom vegetables. Though they are not as showy as the brightly colored flowers, our vegetables are a source of pride for us. We’ve spent the past 7 years trying to identify and grow tomatoes that truly taste like summer. The vast majority of store-bought tomatoes are picked too soon, primary bred for their commercial growing traits, and generally taste more like cardboard than what a tomato should taste like. If a slicer variety can’t be eaten...

Picking the flowers before they are picked...

Just like the anxiously awaited toy catalogs as a child, seed catalogs also start arriving in November. The process of selecting the 2026 flowers for the farm begins many months before they get planted. Our goal is to have a beautiful reminder of our farm in your home as long as possible, so we strive to choose varieties that will last at least a week in a vase of water. The stems are a minimum of 8 inches with either large or multi-blooms per stem that grow well in the full sun conditions we...

The Joy of U-Pick: A Day in the Flowers

There’s something magical about walking through rows of blooms, scissors in hand, sunlight filtering through petals of every color. That’s the beauty of the U-Pick experience at Figureoutable Farm. When visitors arrive, they’re greeted by the sweet smell of fresh flowers and the hum of bees hard at work. At the farm stand are baskets to use, water to keep them fresh, scissors for collecting flowers, and even a quick rundown on how to cut the stems for the longest-lasting bouquet. Then, it’s...

A Buzzing New Addition: Our Beehives Have Arrived!

Thanks to our partnership with Full Hive Apiary, Figureoutable Farms welcomed some very special new residents this summer; thousands of honeybees! Our new beehives are tucked in a sheltered area on the front of the property that you can see as soon as you enter. They’re already playing a vital role in keeping our blooms bright and healthy. Bees might be small, but their impact is huge. Each day, they move from flower to flower, pollinating plants and helping our crops thrive. It’s a perfect...
