A Buzzing New Addition: Our Beehives Have Arrived!

Thanks to our partnership with Full Hive Apiary, Figureoutable Farms welcomed some very special new residents this summer; thousands of honeybees! Our new beehives are tucked in a sheltered area on the front of the property that you can see as soon as you enter. They’re already playing a vital role in keeping our blooms bright and healthy.

Bees might be small, but their impact is huge. Each day, they move from flower to flower, pollinating plants and helping our crops thrive. It’s a perfect partnership, they get the nectar they need, and our flowers get the boost they deserve.

We worked with Full Hive Apiary in Harveysburg to install the hives safely and sustainably. They tend to the bees and keep them healthy and happy. The goal isn’t just to produce honey, though we’re excited for that. We want to create a balanced ecosystem that supports everything growing here. They are keeping the many butterflies that visit us company too. The option to host a bee keeping workshop with Full Hive Apiary is being explored, so please let us know if you would be interested in attending.

We can’t wait to share updates as the colonies settle in. So next time you visit the farm, listen closely; that soft, steady hum in the background is the sound of nature working in perfect harmony.
